Le Studio gives luxury brands year-round access to packaging concepts, materials and trend expertise, reflecting a more collaborative approach to premium product development.
GPA Global has opened Le Studio, an immersive showroom at its Paris-area headquarters designed to give luxury brands a permanent setting for exploring packaging and gifting ideas. The space is scheduled to open officially on October 15 and will provide access to emerging materials, finishes, trend forecasting and examples of GPA’s work for luxury clients. Its significance lies in bringing physical experimentation and creative collaboration into a sector where packaging is increasingly treated as part of the product experience.
Rather than functioning as a static display, Le Studio is intended as a working creative environment where client teams can meet GPA designers, develop concepts and move early ideas towards packaging solutions. The showroom reflects the sensory demands of luxury packaging, allowing visitors to handle materials, examine how finishes respond to light and consider how a package is revealed. GPA Creative Director Isabelle De Maistre said the space is designed to support those conversations throughout the year rather than limiting them to individual project moments.
The showroom includes TrendVision, a space focused on seasonal colours, materials, textures and finishes, alongside a changing Collection Wall featuring concepts developed by GPA’s teams. A Reveal Wall uses sliding panels to present new concepts, collections and selected client work around the moment of opening a package. Visitors can also see rigid boxes, folding cartons, displays, pouches, bags and premium accessories, while GPA’s EnVision digital visualisation tool allows clients to explore forms, finishes and artwork before physical samples are produced.
The initiative comes as luxury brands manage competing demands around environmental impact, speed, changing consumer expectations and complex supply chains. GPA says Le Studio will help clients consider sustainability alongside materials, design and packaging innovation, while connecting creative development with the company’s packaging engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and logistics capabilities. That combination positions the showroom as more than a brand display: it is a physical point of contact between concept development and the operational work required to deliver packaging across markets.
GPA plans to use Le Studio for client innovation days, trend and material sessions and collaborative sustainability workshops, bringing its teams and luxury brands together earlier in the creative process. General Manager of GPA France Kurt Dienel described the space as a place where clients can compare materials, challenge ideas and begin building the next concept with the company’s creative and technical teams. As the showroom changes with new materials, technologies and trends, GPA is making ongoing collaboration a defined part of its luxury packaging offer.
