The homewares brand’s first powered appliance extends its design-led kitchen range while putting plastic-free brewing and simplified controls at the centre of the proposition.
Caraway Home is moving into powered appliances with the Caraway Coffee Maker, a 10-cup machine that extends the brand’s materials-focused approach beyond cookware and other kitchen essentials. The product has been five years in development and marks Caraway’s first powered appliance, making the launch a significant broadening of its offer. Caraway says the machine is designed around a proprietary Clean Brew System in which stainless steel and glass form the brew path.
The coffee maker places material choice at the centre of a category where hot water routinely passes through several internal components. Its glass water reservoir and carafe are paired with a stainless steel water path, shower head, brew basket and reusable filter, while Caraway says the machine is free of PFAS, lead and cadmium and has undergone independent third-party testing. That positioning gives the product a clear point of distinction within the home coffee market without separating it from the everyday functionality expected of a drip machine.
The machine brews between two and 10 cups and keeps coffee warm for up to 90 minutes. Caraway says precision temperature control, controlled blooming and even saturation are intended to support balanced extraction, while a single dial replaces screens, multiple settings and several brew modes. Dishwasher-safe components, removable parts and an integrated cleaning and descaling cycle are designed to reduce the maintenance involved in regular use.
The product is offered in Cream, Stone, Midnight and Clay, and includes a glass carafe, stainless steel brew basket, reusable stainless steel filter, scoop and power cable. The 10-cup Coffee Maker is available from September 22, 2026, for $495 through CarawayHome.com and Crate & Barrel stores and online. Caraway’s own product page describes the machine as a drip coffee maker with a Clean Brew System, one-dial control and a 90-minute warming function.
For Caraway, the coffee maker extends a strategy built around applying material and design decisions across familiar household products. The company says its wider range now includes cookware, bakeware, prepware, food storage, barware and home organisation, making the move into a powered countertop appliance a measured expansion rather than a departure from its existing kitchen focus. The product’s significance will rest on whether its materials proposition and simplified operation translate into a compelling alternative in a crowded appliance category.
