The Toronto-based agency is expanding its leadership bench and digital capabilities as it sharpens its focus on experiential, ultra-luxury travel for affluent clients worldwide.
Tully Luxury Travel is reshaping its operating model around experiential and ultra-luxury travel, appointing Steven Salm as chief operating officer and expanding its leadership bench. The Toronto-based agency says the shift will modernise operations while preserving the discretion, trust and detailed product knowledge underpinning its client relationships. Known as TLT, the company is positioning technology-enabled service alongside hospitality-led execution as it develops its next phase.
Salm’s appointment places operational discipline at the centre of that strategy. The company says he will oversee efforts to elevate curated access, strengthen travel-advisor expertise and introduce technology that improves service without displacing the personal relationships associated with the Tully Difference. His stated focus includes making the agency an easier extension of clients’ lives through stronger connectivity with designers, real-time itinerary access and more personalised matching between travellers, products and partners.
The modernisation programme includes tools for real-time itinerary visualisation and simpler booking flows, allowing clients to engage more directly with their travel plans and the designers supporting them. TLT also plans to deepen relationships with emerging ultra-luxury small-ship, expedition and yachting brands, including newly launched branded yachts and explorer-ship experiences. Its operational priorities extend to supplier relationships and trip execution, with attention to suite and cabin placement and curated shore experiences for multigenerational travellers.
Salm brings experience from hospitality and lifestyle businesses, including PLANTA, Chase Hospitality Group and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. Tully Luxury Travel says his background in building teams and scaling hospitality concepts will support a service model that combines refined design sensibility with more structured execution. Founder and chief executive Mary Jean Tully described the appointment as a way to accelerate the company’s vision while protecting the confidence clients place in the agency.
Founded in Toronto more than 38 years ago, Tully Luxury Travel operates across luxury hotels, bespoke safaris, expeditions and small-ship cruising, according to the company. A refreshed digital experience and new client-and-partner landing page are scheduled to roll out in the coming weeks, with leadership updates and strategic product partnerships among the planned content. The next chapter therefore centres less on changing the agency’s identity than on extending its established advisory model through clearer digital access and a broader operational platform.
