The Fleurette Artist Editions collection applies botanical decoration to three classic fixtures, connecting Lauder’s appreciation for heirloom ceramics with Kohler’s decorative craftsmanship.
Kohler has partnered with Aerin Lauder, founder and creative director of AERIN, on a bathroom collection inspired by traditional Delftware. The Fleurette Artist Editions range brings hand-applied floral motifs to familiar fixtures, giving the decorative surface a central role in how a bathroom or powder room is designed.
The collection includes the Memoirs Stately toilet, Memoirs Stately pedestal sink and Caxton rectangle sink. Each is made in Kohler’s white vitreous china, with botanical decoration offered in blue-and-white and soft green-and-white colourways. The green version is designed to coordinate with Kohler’s Heritage Aspen Green fixtures.
Rather than introducing entirely new fixture shapes, the collaboration changes the visual character of established forms. The floral treatment makes the sink or toilet part of a room’s pattern and colour scheme, bringing an approach associated with decorative ceramics into functional bathroom pieces.
For Lauder, the Delftware reference carries a personal connection. Her grandmother, Estée Lauder, collected the blue-and-white ceramics, and those pieces helped shape her appreciation for the palette and its decorative possibilities. Flowers, another recurring influence in Lauder’s work, provide the collection’s botanical language.
The designs are produced through Kohler’s Artist Editions process, which combines precision manufacturing with decorative techniques carried out by artisans in Kohler, Wisconsin. According to the company, the programme grew out of its Arts/Industry residency and has connected art with ceramic craftsmanship for more than 40 years. Fleurette extends that approach through hand-applied ornament on everyday bathroom forms.
The two colourways also give the collection different routes into an interior. Blue-and-white makes the Delftware connection immediately recognisable, while green-and-white offers a softer alternative with a link to Kohler’s existing colour range. Across both, the white ceramic base and established silhouettes keep the emphasis on the floral detailing.
Designed for bathrooms and powder rooms, Fleurette gives homeowners and designers a coordinated selection without requiring every fixture to become a new shape or material. The announcement does not disclose pricing, leaving the collection’s design and craftsmanship as the main focus of its introduction.
The collaboration brings Lauder’s personal design references into a category usually defined first by function. For Kohler, it demonstrates how an existing fixture can take on a distinct identity through colour and decoration, with heirloom ceramics providing the starting point for a more expressive bathroom.
