The chicken brand is widening distribution and adding refrigerated breakfast formats as it builds a broader national presence across convenient protein occasions.
Amylu Foods is projected to increase its retail footprint by nearly 50% by the end of 2026, with dollar sales up 107% year over year and points of distribution expected to reach 129,998, compared with 87,547 in 2025. The expansion is being driven in part by a significant increase in its Target presence, alongside distribution gains at other retailers. For Amylu, the figures indicate a shift from regional growth towards a more extensive national retail network.
The Target expansion covers refrigerated and frozen categories, with 11 products receiving expanded or new distribution. Eight existing products are gaining a larger footprint, while three new products are being introduced at the retailer. The move gives Amylu Foods a larger platform in a category shaped by demand for convenient, ready-to-prepare food that can fit several eating occasions.
Two of the three new Target products focus on refrigerated breakfast formats. Breakfast Time Patties will be carried by Target as the first retailer for that product, while Maple Breakfast Bites are being offered in individually portioned, grab-and-go packaging. Both products extend Amylu’s chicken-based range beyond conventional lunch and dinner occasions, with the company positioning them as protein-forward options for breakfast and snacking.
The company’s category position is also strengthening alongside the distribution increase. Amylu Foods says it is currently the number-one dollar-growth chicken sausage brand, contributing nearly half of segment growth, while also ranking first in refrigerated chicken breakfast sausage dollar growth and second across the wider breakfast sausage and meats category. Those measures, based on SPINS Satori data for total US multi-outlet retail through July 12, 2026, frame the Target expansion as part of a broader performance trend rather than an isolated placement.
Amylu’s strategy combines greater physical availability with formats designed for different points in the day, allowing the brand to extend its existing chicken sausage and breakfast expertise into more convenient refrigerated products. The company’s range includes sausages, meatballs and burgers, and it says its products are made with all-natural ingredients without antibiotics, nitrates or nitrites. As distribution approaches 130,000 points, the immediate significance is a wider retail base for Amylu’s existing products and new breakfast formats, with Target serving as a major part of that expansion.
