Jonathan Ojany’s appointment gives Convene Hospitality Group a combined finance and operating brief as it scales hospitality, events and commercial real-estate destinations worldwide.
Convene Hospitality Group has appointed Jonathan Ojany as chief financial and operating officer, creating an expanded leadership role spanning finance, strategy, operations, procurement and legal. The appointment, announced on April 14, 2026, comes as the company says it is entering a new phase of growth across its hospitality and premium commercial real-estate platform. Convene Hospitality Group, also known as CHG, described the move as part of its effort to scale its brands, strengthen its operating platform and expand its global footprint.
The appointment reflects the breadth of CHG’s portfolio, which includes the Convene, NeueHouse and etc.venues brands, alongside a collection of premium event spaces. In its release, the company described itself as a hospitality-driven destinations group operating across the intersection of gathering, commercial property and lifestyle experiences. Its stated focus is on creating spaces and experiences designed to bring people together, covering settings from workplaces and cultural venues to executive summits and brand activations.
Ojany joins from KFC U.S., where he served as chief strategy, transformation and financial officer and led a multi-billion-dollar business through a period of modernisation and growth, according to CHG. Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company, including chief of staff to the global president and chief operating officer and vice-president of global strategy and operations. His career also includes roles at McKinsey & Company and InterContinental Hotels Group, where the release said he worked on value creation, growth strategy, global brand strategy and portfolio growth.
The combined remit places financial oversight alongside the operational responsibilities involved in running CHG’s expanding network. The company says it is the largest provider of dedicated meeting and event spaces in the United States and the United Kingdom, with more than 45 years of experience and 38 global locations. Those descriptions are company claims, but they indicate the operational scale that Ojany’s role is intended to cover as CHG develops a broader lifestyle brand portfolio.
Ojany will be based at CHG’s headquarters in New York City. The company said his background in engineering and finance aligns with a career focused on building brands, scaling operations and creating value across global consumer platforms, while Ojany said he would work with the team to scale with discipline and accelerate growth. The appointment therefore links CHG’s next stage to a leader whose brief combines financial performance with the practical demands of operating hospitality-led destinations.
