Wickedbone Air combines app-based steering, automatic play and a replaceable outer shell, positioning maintenance and participation as central features of interactive pet technology.
Cheerble has introduced Wickedbone Air, an app-controlled interactive dog toy designed to give owners a more active role in play. The updated model combines joystick steering, automatic movement and touch responses with a lighter body and replaceable E-TPU outer shell. The product extends the Wickedbone line while placing shared interaction and routine upkeep at the centre of the proposition.
In Drive Mode, owners use a virtual joystick in the Cheerble App to steer the toy in real time and respond to their dog’s movements. Auto Mode uses built-in movement behaviours and touch responses without requiring continuous steering, although owners remain nearby to supervise. Sound effects provide an audible element, while a Find Device function can activate a sound cue to help locate the toy beneath furniture.
The toy weighs 8.7 ounces, or 246 grams, which Cheerble says is 54 grams less than the original model introduced in 2018. Its E-TPU shell is designed to absorb impact and reduce noise on hard floors, while the separate cover can be replaced without discarding the inner unit. A recessed charging port also removes the need for the original model’s separate removable cap.
Connectivity has also been revised, with a specified Bluetooth range of 20 to 50 metres compared with less than 20 metres for the original model. The app uses a local Bluetooth connection, and Cheerble notes that actual range varies with the environment. Once Auto Mode is running, play continues if Bluetooth disconnects, allowing an automatic session to proceed without immediate reconnection.
Pre-orders opened on September 7, 2026, and Wickedbone Air officially launches at cheerble.com on September 11, 2026, at an introductory price of USD 59.99 against an MSRP of USD 65.99. Replacement shells are priced separately at an MSRP of USD 19.99. The combination of app participation, autonomous play and replaceable exterior parts gives Cheerble a focused way to differentiate a connected pet toy through both engagement and longer-term maintenance.
