Westgate Las Vegas is adding two Elvis Presley tribute productions, using the International Theater’s history to frame a broader programme of immersive resort entertainment.
Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is expanding its Elvis Presley programming with two immersive concert experiences at the International Theater, the Las Vegas venue associated with the singer’s historic residency. The resort reported that 1969 LIVE! The King Returns is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2026, while 1970 LIVE! That’s the Way It Was is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026. The announcement places both productions inside the theatre where Elvis performed, linking the shows directly to the property’s entertainment history.
The summer programme centres on the return of 1969 LIVE! The King Returns, which features internationally acclaimed Elvis tribute artist Travis Powell. The production is described as a recreation of the performances surrounding Presley’s return to live entertainment in 1969 at the International Hotel, the property now known as Westgate Las Vegas. The July 31 performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the International Theater, according to the resort’s release.
The autumn production, 1970 LIVE! That’s the Way It Was, is based on the 1970 documentary and is designed to revisit performances from Presley’s Las Vegas residency. Westgate said the experience will be presented inside the same theatre where the documentary was filmed. Tickets for the October 24 performance were reported as on sale at the time of the July 24 announcement, while VIP International Theater tours were also listed at $69.
Westgate is extending the concert concept into a wider Elvis-themed weekend around the July performance. The release listed karaoke in the Cabaret Theater, a complimentary Living Legends Series featuring Elvis insiders and special guests, live entertainment across the resort, a Blue Hawaii Pool Party, themed food and beverage options, and era-inspired spa and salon experiences. The programming positions the shows as part of a resort stay rather than as stand-alone theatre engagements, although the announcement does not quantify expected attendance or commercial impact.
The initiative gives Westgate a way to use a documented association with Presley as the organising thread for entertainment, hospitality and on-site experiences. The resort said two performances of 1969 LIVE! The King Returns sold out in the previous year, a claim that provides the stated basis for expanding the Elvis programme. With the 1969 and 1970 productions scheduled for July 31 and October 24, 2026, respectively, Westgate is continuing to build programming around the International Theater’s place in Las Vegas entertainment history.
