The planned ski-in, ski-out resort will extend Club Med’s Canadian footprint while pairing all-inclusive holidays with year-round mountain tourism in Quebec.
Club Med is developing Club Med Tremblant, a premium all-inclusive mountain resort in Quebec that will become the brand’s second Canadian property after Club Med Québec Charlevoix opened in 2021. Located near the village of Mont-Tremblant, the ski-in, ski-out project is designed to broaden the company’s presence in a market central to its North American growth strategy. The resort is anticipated to open in December 2028, giving Club Med a further base in one of the region’s established four-season destinations.
The project is being delivered through a three-part collaboration involving Club Med, Alderan and Station Mont-Tremblant. The agreement includes a long-term lease under which Club Med will operate the resort, as well as a construction contract that gives the company responsibility for design, planning and execution as delegated project manager. Alderan is a French portfolio management company, while Station Mont-Tremblant is the area’s ski provider and will contribute to the guest experience through its ski-school operations.
Club Med Tremblant is planned as a contemporary Alpine chalet-inspired property with dining rooted in Alpine heritage and a local influence. Its proposed offer includes daily lift tickets, age-specific Kids Clubs for children from four months to 17 years, summer activities such as hiking and water sports, wellness experiences and a spa. The resort is also expected to provide a multicultural Club Med team and access to ski instruction from Station Mont-Tremblant, with programmes intended for different ages and ability levels.
The development places the resort within Mont-Tremblant’s wider year-round tourism economy, which the company says attracts more than three million visitors annually. Club Med and the city have worked together on the project’s integration into the area’s natural and cultural environment, while the resort will target LEED certification and Green Globe operational certification. Station Mont-Tremblant has also committed to planned mountain upgrades intended to improve slope conditions, guest flow and wider amenities over the coming years.
For Club Med, the resort adds capacity to a portfolio that combines beach and mountain holidays with an all-inclusive model, while reinforcing its focus on family and active-traveller experiences. The company positions Tremblant as a potential flagship ski destination for its North American operations, with the location expected to draw visitors from Canada, the United States and other markets. Its progress will therefore provide a measure of how the brand’s Canadian expansion translates into a larger year-round presence.
