A new arrivia-powered service gives AirAsia members access to thousands of sailings while extending points earning beyond flights and hotel bookings.
AirAsia rewards has introduced a cruise-booking platform through a partnership with arrivia, extending its loyalty proposition into another major travel category. Powered by iCruise, the service allows members to search and book sailings through a dedicated website or the Rewards section of the AirAsia MOVE app. The move broadens the ways members can use the programme for travel planning while retaining AirAsia points as the central benefit.
The platform covers more than 30,000 cruise itineraries across over 40 cruise lines, according to AirAsia rewards. Available cruise brands include Royal Caribbean, Disney Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line. The range positions the service as a booking marketplace rather than a single-line offer, giving members access to multiple destinations and holiday formats through one loyalty channel.
Members earn four AirAsia points for every US dollar spent on cruise fares, with points credited within 30 days after the cruise is completed. A promotional earning period applies to bookings made between October 29, 2025, and November 30, 2025, during which members earn five points per US dollar. Bookings can be completed online by entering an AirAsia member ID, while cruise experts are also available to provide assistance.
AirAsia rewards cited the Cruise Lines International Association’s 2024 Asia Source Passenger Market Report, which recorded 2.6 million Asian cruise passengers in 2024, a 13 per cent increase from the previous year. That figure supplies the narrow market context for the expansion, linking the service to a documented increase in regional cruise participation rather than treating cruising as an incidental add-on. For AirAsia rewards, the partnership also brings cruise booking into the same broader travel-rewards environment as flights and hotels.
Arrivia provides the booking technology behind the service and brings experience in travel loyalty, cruise, hotel and resort programmes, according to the companies. Its iCruise service supports the online cruise marketplace, while multilingual cruise specialists are available through global call centres. The arrangement gives AirAsia rewards a way to add cruise inventory without presenting the programme as a cruise operator, reinforcing its role as a broader travel-access and points-earning platform.
