Grande Lakes Orlando’s seasonal programme combines family activities, wellness, dining and fireworks, reflecting how resort operators are packaging experiences around major cultural moments.
Grande Lakes Orlando is introducing Summer by the Lake, a seasonal programme tied to America’s 250th anniversary and designed to bring together entertainment, outdoor recreation, dining and wellness across its 500-acre resort destination. The programme is scheduled to run from May 23 through September 6, 2026, on select Saturdays and holiday weekends, with activities ranging from lawn games and laser tag to live music, waterslides and evening fireworks. The announcement positions the resort’s summer offer as a broad experience rather than a single event, spanning both family-focused and more elevated leisure occasions.
The daytime programme is built around activities for guests of different ages, including face painting, balloon artists, silent discos and the return of the dancing GLO Robot. Families can also take part in the Grande Family Classic, which the resort describes as a field-day-style experience. Grande Lakes Sports will offer complimentary opportunities to explore the surrounding landscape by bike, canoe and kayak, adding an outdoor component to the entertainment schedule.
Evening programming is intended to provide the clearest recurring spectacle, with fire-dancer performances followed by fireworks over the resort. Guests can reserve the Fireworks Oasis Grande Cabana, which includes fresh coconuts, beverages and views of the displays. The wider seasonal offer also includes an August Wellness Weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, wellness treatments such as robot massage and red-light therapy, after-hours spa pool parties, and seasonal 5K events on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day weekends.
Food and beverage experiences extend the programme beyond scheduled entertainment. The release highlights Freedom Hot Dogs and Brews, a collection of cocktails and mocktails called the 1776 Expedition of Seasonal Sips, and an American Cookout Classic pairing Russell’s Reserve bourbon whiskeys with barbecue dishes. Additional collaborations include Moët Ice & Coconuts and Griffy’s Glizzies, while Sun & Spritz at The Ritz-Carlton Pool Trellis Cabana and Piper by the Lake add reserved poolside and lakeside settings with drinks and dedicated service.
The resort is also promoting activities for families and outdoor travellers, including Ritz Kids camps, Kids’ Night Out, scavenger hunts, nature exploration and an exclusive residency by magician Drew Thomas, an America’s Got Talent finalist. Other listed experiences include ecotours on Shingle Creek, sunrise safaris, fishing, falconry, archery, mountain biking and access to the Grande Lakes Waterpark. Accommodation packages include a Family Escape option with a connecting room, while the Grande Escape Package offers up to $50 in resort credit and complimentary parking, giving the seasonal programme a commercial structure alongside its event calendar.
