A limited edition of star-embossed aluminium foil puts the team’s emblem on tailgate trays, watch-party dishes and leftovers.
Reynolds Wrap and the Dallas Cowboys have launched Cowboys Fan Foil, a limited edition of the brand’s aluminium foil embossed with a repeating star pattern inspired by the team. The rollout is focused on select Texas markets, where participating retailers are carrying the foil while supplies last.
The design puts the sports tie-in directly on the foil. The stars show up when a host covers a tray of sliders, wraps food for a tailgate or packs leftovers for guests after the game. It gives a product that usually sits in the kitchen drawer a visible role at the table.
The release builds on Reynolds Wrap’s use of embossing to mark specific occasions. The brand recently introduced a snowflake pattern for holiday baking and entertaining. Here, the same treatment is tied to a team and to the food rituals that surround a fixture, from preparing dishes before kickoff to sharing them at a watch party.
For the Cowboys, the partnership gives fans another place to display a familiar emblem. For Reynolds Wrap, the star pattern gives shoppers a reason to pick a particular roll for a gathering even though the underlying foil is the same. The limited Texas rollout keeps the launch close to the team’s home market.
