The Idaho destination has taken the top spot in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 western resort rankings, bringing new attention to its year-round proposition.
Tamarack Resort has been named the No. 1 Resort in the West in Travel + Leisure’s 2026 World’s Best Awards, an accolade selected through the magazine’s annual reader survey. The recognition places the Idaho destination at the top of a regional resort ranking and gives public weight to the breadth of its offer across recreation, hospitality, dining and accommodation. The result reflects a travel category in which resorts are assessed not only as seasonal bases but as broader destinations. Tamarack describes itself as a four-season resort located 90 miles north of Boise across 4,400 acres. Its winter offer includes 2,800 vertical feet and 2,000 acres of skiable terrain, while summer activities include golf, mountain biking, hiking, ziplining, boating and watersports on Lake Cascade. The award follows several investments that Tamarack says have expanded the guest experience.
