Phenomenomaly brings live theatre, dance, puppetry and audience-led quests to Meow Wolf’s exhibitions through August 9, extending its shared-world approach across markets.
Meow Wolf has opened Phenomenomaly, an interactive performance spectacle running simultaneously at its five exhibitions in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver, Grapevine and Houston. The event, scheduled from June 5 through August 9, follows the fictional Flickerwerm migration and is included with any exhibition ticket or Portal Pass at no extra cost. Its coordinated launch gives the company a single performance framework that can operate across geographically separate venues while adapting to each location.
The production sits between immersive theatre, live entertainment and Meow Wolf’s established exhibition format. According to the company, each 45-minute performance combines live theatre, dance, puppetry and roaming quests, with multiple loops staged each day. The format is designed to encourage different levels of participation, allowing visitors to observe, follow the action or help a group of interplanetary tourists known as the Lil’ Bigg Miss Fitts complete its mission.
Audience activity is part of the performance structure rather than a separate add-on. Meow Wolf says small crowd actions help move the story towards its climax, while the production changes according to the character of its host exhibition. A rotating cast of local guest performers gives each city its own lineup, alongside returning national collaborators including Basqo Bim, Iggy & Andy, Kate Major and Monsters of the Underworld. Limited-time cocktails and merchandise are also available while the migration is in each location.
The announcement illustrates how an exhibition operator can add a time-limited, repeatable layer of live programming without separating it from the environments visitors already enter. Phenomenomaly is not presented as a standalone touring show: its performances are embedded in House of Eternal Return, Omega Mart, Convergence Station, The Real Unreal and Radio Tave, with the story reshaped by each setting. That structure places local performers and site-specific variation alongside a common creative premise.
For Meow Wolf, the simultaneous run makes the company’s five existing exhibitions part of one temporary narrative event. Visitors receive access through standard exhibition admission or a Portal Pass, while the rotating casts and host-specific performances give the programme a distinct local dimension. With the run reported as scheduled through August 9, Phenomenomaly extends Meow Wolf’s proposition beyond static exploration into a shared, participatory performance experience.
