New cabins and dog-friendly sites at Red Rock RV Park broaden the accommodation mix for visitors seeking access to the Greater Yellowstone area without giving up comfort.
Open Road Resorts announced on May 19, 2026, that Red Rock RV Park in Island Park, Idaho, had added ROAM Cabins and Bark’N Stay RV sites, widening the ways guests can stay near Yellowstone National Park. The additions address two distinct needs: travellers who want the outdoor setting without bringing an RV and guests who want to bring a dog while retaining more on-site conveniences. The move positions the park as a more flexible base for visiting the Greater Yellowstone area.
The new accommodation mix reflects a lodging model that sits between traditional camping and a conventional hotel stay. Red Rock RV Park is located 22 miles from Yellowstone National Park and offers access to the park, Henry’s Lake, off-road trails and the surrounding Greater Yellowstone ecosystem, according to the release. Its latest options allow RV travellers, cabin guests, families and groups with pets to use the same destination while choosing different levels of equipment and space.
Open Road Resorts says the ROAM Cabin sleeps up to four guests and includes two queen beds, a kitchenette, a private bathroom and an outdoor setup with Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, a picnic table and a propane grill. The ROAM Deluxe sleeps up to six, with a private master bedroom, loft sleeping space, a pull-out sofa, a full kitchen, a full bathroom and two private patios. The Bark’N Stay Premier Back-In RV Site includes full hookups, a fire pit, seating, a picnic table and a fenced-in dog area, while the Signature Patio Pull-Thru adds pull-thru access and a private patio.
The announcement gives Open Road Resorts a way to extend the park’s appeal beyond guests who already own or travel in recreational vehicles. It also creates a practical arrangement for mixed groups, allowing some members to stay in cabins while others use RV sites. That combination of accommodation types, alongside dedicated pet-friendly infrastructure, suggests a narrower form of hospitality expansion centred on flexibility rather than a single standard camping experience.
Open Road Resorts, an outdoor hospitality company founded in 2019, said it owns and operates nine RV parks across seven states, with additional acquisitions in its pipeline and a greenfield development underway in the Dallas, Texas, market. At Red Rock RV Park, the ROAM and Bark’N Stay additions bring those broader operating ambitions into a specific destination whose value is tied to proximity to Yellowstone. The result is a more varied stay proposition for visitors planning time in the region.
