The 187ml Riunite Zero and Maschio Zero bottles extend two Italian alcohol-free expressions into portable formats suited to convenience retail and individual drinking occasions.
Cantine Riunite has introduced 187ml bottles of Riunite Zero Red Semi-Sparkling and Maschio Zero White Sparkling, bringing two alcohol-free Italian wine expressions into single-serve formats. The company says the bottles debut in September and begin rolling out at US retailers in October. The smaller format is intended to accommodate occasions where a full-sized wine bottle may be impractical, while opening additional possibilities in convenience and grab-and-go retail settings.
The move places portability alongside moderation as a central feature of the two products. Cantine Riunite positions the bottles for casual gatherings, picnics, travel and spontaneous celebrations, with each serving designed to avoid the commitment of opening a full-sized bottle. Mina Belhaj Rouas, vice-president of marketing and trade development at Frederick Wildman & Sons, said the format gives people another way to enjoy the wines according to their preferences and circumstances.
Riunite Zero 187ml has a suggested retail price of $2.99, while Maschio Zero 187ml is priced at $3.99. Frederick Wildman & Sons is the exclusive US importer of Riunite and Maschio. The company said worldwide sales during 2024 and 2025 reached 200,000 bottles for Riunite Zero and 150,000 bottles for Maschio Zero, with most of those volumes sold in 2025.
The format expansion follows broader growth cited by Cantine Riunite in alcohol-free drinks. According to NielsenIQ figures provided by the company, the US alcohol-free category exceeded $1 billion in off-premise retail sales by the end of 2025. Cantine Riunite also cited Pinky Beverages’ 2026 NA Trends Analysis, which found that online sales of non-alcoholic beverages rose by approximately 208% year on year. These figures provide the commercial context for extending the brands beyond conventional wine-purchasing locations.
For Cantine Riunite, the 187ml bottles connect its alcohol-free portfolio with retail environments where compact packaging and individual servings can be more practical. The approach does not alter the core positioning of Riunite Zero and Maschio Zero; instead, it adds a format intended for different settings and consumption preferences. By combining modest suggested prices with portability, the company is testing how established Italian wine brands can participate in alcohol-free occasions outside the traditional full-bottle purchase.
