The airline’s Tiare Specialist Program combines destination training, certification and tiered benefits as carriers seek stronger relationships with travel professionals.
Air Tahiti Nui, the flagship carrier of French Polynesia, has launched the Tiare Specialist Program, a professional development and loyalty initiative for travel advisors selling Tahiti. The programme links destination education with recognition and rewards, positioning travel professionals as an important channel for communicating the airline’s offer and French Polynesian experience. It was announced on May 11, 2026, from Papeete.
The programme is available through the airline’s advisor portal, Nui Hub, where participants complete ongoing education, quizzes and bookings. The release says the initiative is intended for both new and experienced advisors who deepen their destination expertise while growing their Air Tahiti Nui business. A May incentive promotion on the portal gives advisors the chance to earn points towards flights and enter a sweepstake for roundtrip airfare and a seven-day luxury cruise in Tahiti with Windstar Cruises, according to the airline.
Tiare Specialist has three certification levels: Moana, Mānava and Poerava. Each tier offers increasing recognition and rewards, including digital specialist badges, access to exclusive familiarisation-trip opportunities and advisor events, plus premium travel benefits such as lounge access and cabin-upgrade opportunities. Selected Poerava-level advisors can also receive marketing support for lead-acquisition campaigns designed to support their business growth.
The structure makes training part of the commercial relationship rather than treating it as a one-off product briefing. Quizzes and certification tracking are housed within Nui Hub, while merit badges appear on advisors’ profiles as they progress. Air Tahiti Nui Vice President, Americas Caroline Borawski said the programme was created to recognise advisors who are passionate about Tahiti and committed to client experiences, while helping them position the airline’s service to French Polynesia.
The initiative also reflects the specific demands of selling a long-haul destination, where advisors may need detailed knowledge to match clients with an itinerary and explain the value of the journey. Air Tahiti Nui says its own services and codeshare partnerships connect Tahiti with key international destinations, while its onboard experience incorporates elements of Tahitian culture. By combining that destination story with structured education and tiered incentives, the airline is giving advisors a formal route to build expertise around its Tahiti business.
