Northern Jet has secured Wyvern Wingman PRO certification, highlighting how private aviation operators use external validation to demonstrate mature safety systems and operational discipline.
Northern Jet has earned Wyvern Wingman PRO certification through Wyvern’s Flight Leader Program, a recognition the aviation safety organisation links to the operator’s SMS Level 4 status. The certification gives formal recognition to Northern Jet’s safety management maturity and sustained participation in third-party oversight and performance review. The announcement places operational systems and accountability, rather than only the aircraft experience, at the centre of the company’s private aviation proposition.
Wyvern describes SMS Level 4 as the highest level of Safety Management System maturity in its framework. According to the release, the designation indicates that required SMS processes are in place and actively monitored, with organisations focusing on ongoing oversight and refinement of operational and safety procedures. For a charter operator, that emphasis connects the passenger-facing promise of a private flight with the less visible processes used to identify and manage risk.
Northern Jet said the Wingman PRO status reflects sustained engagement with independent safety oversight and performance review. The company also identifies itself as an Argus Platinum and Wyvern Wingman PRO certified charter operator offering jet and helicopter charter, jet-card memberships, fractional ownership and turnkey aircraft management. Its operations are based in Orlando, with additional bases in Florida and the Midwest, and the release specifically names Orlando, Naples and Grand Rapids as locations serving clients.
The certification is presented as an operational milestone rather than a standalone marketing award. Northern Jet Chief Executive Chris Bull attributed the achievement to the discipline of the company’s team and the consistency of its safety standards, while Director of Safety Tim Reeve described the designation as the result of work across the organisation and framed safety as a daily practice. Those comments keep the focus on the systems, training and routine behaviours that support the company’s stated safety culture.
Wyvern Wingman Certification and Wingman PRO status are described in the release as benchmarks for safety performance, SMS maturity and independent operational validation across private aviation. Northern Jet’s announcement therefore speaks to a category in which trust depends not only on service and access, but also on evidence that operational controls are being maintained and reviewed. The company said it will continue focusing on safety, continuous improvement and disciplined operations as it serves clients from its regional bases.
