The renewed collaboration combines Topgolf’s venues and media network with First Tee’s youth programmes, linking participation in golf with character and leadership development.
Topgolf has renewed its partnership with First Tee, extending a relationship focused on introducing more children and teenagers to golf while supporting character, confidence and resilience. Announced on July 23, 2026, the agreement brings together Topgolf’s nationwide venue footprint and First Tee’s youth development programmes. The arrangement matters because it positions golf participation and broader life-skills development within the same partnership, rather than treating access to the sport as a standalone objective.
The announcement follows First Tee’s Game Changers Academy, a teen leadership experience that concluded in Minneapolis during the week of the release. Topgolf was a partner in the academy, which focused on self-awareness, community building and inclusive leadership. The renewed relationship therefore extends beyond venue-based play to include a wider set of activities intended to connect golf with personal development.
Topgolf said it has supported First Tee initiatives through chapter programming at more than 25 Topgolf venues, alumni engagement and venue activations. Its Topgolf Media Network, the company’s venue media division, promotes First Tee’s life and golf-skills programmes across more than 28,000 digital screens. First Tee participants and alumni can also receive $20 off game play at participating Topgolf venues nationwide through December 30, according to the announcement.
The partnership forms part of Topgolf’s stated goal of creating 10 million new, committed golfers by 2030, including three million women golfers. The company said First Tee will play a key role in inspiring and developing the next generation of lifelong participants, while First Tee described Topgolf’s environment as an engaging introduction to the game. First Tee reaches more than 3.1 million children and teenagers annually through 150 U.S. chapters, 2,000 programme locations, 12,000 schools and youth centres, according to the release.
The renewed agreement illustrates how golf organisations are using partnerships to connect the sport’s recreational appeal with structured youth development. For Topgolf, the collaboration adds institutional reach to its venue and media presence; for First Tee, it provides continued access to a branded entertainment setting that the organisations say can welcome young people to golf. Its immediate emphasis remains practical—programming, visibility and discounted play—while the longer-term ambition is to help more participants build an ongoing relationship with the game.
