Ennismore is taking Mondrian into the all-inclusive resort market with a 400-room Cancun property built around design, dining, entertainment and beach access.
Ennismore is extending its Mondrian brand into all-inclusive hospitality with Mondrian Cancun, a 400-room resort in Mexico positioned between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte Lagoon. The release from Ennismore said bookings opened on June 15, 2026, for the property, which is located about 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport. The move gives Mondrian a resort format while retaining the brand’s stated emphasis on culture, creativity and contemporary design.
Mondrian Cancun is presented as a lifestyle-led alternative to a conventional resort model, combining accommodation with food, entertainment, wellness and social programming. The property’s design draws on the natural setting and cultural influences of the Riviera Maya, with rooms and suites featuring contemporary interiors, private terraces and balconies, and views towards the lagoon, ocean or Cancun skyline. Ennismore describes Mondrian as a collection of hotels and residences rooted in art, design and culture.
The resort brings together 10 dining venues and six bars, with concepts including Mexican cuisine at Cuyo and Cuyo Ceviche, Japanese food at Niko, the Mondrian Market, and casual offerings from the Uno Mas food truck. Allegra includes what the release describes as Cancun’s longest rooftop infinity pool. Guests will also have access to Bungalow Beach Club, a private beachfront destination with poolside lounging, dining across two levels and a complimentary shuttle from the resort.
A higher-tier Mondrian+ option adds panoramic top-floor views, wraparound terraces, dedicated butler service, a private check-in lounge, access to a selected rooftop restaurant and pool, an enhanced beverage programme and preferred beach-club seating. The release also outlined entertainment spanning culture, music, wellness and social connection, including live music, DJ sets, curated events and other activities. A later phase, to be announced by Ennismore, is expected to add a larger spa, an enhanced fitness centre, a teens club, a steakhouse and a Cuban-inspired sunset bar.
The Cancun project also includes 328 one- to three-bedroom residences along Nichupte Lagoon, described by Ennismore as Mondrian’s first branded residential project in Mexico. First Edition guests staying at least three nights were offered 30% savings during the inaugural season from August 19 to November 30, 2026, while Dis-loyalty members were offered 50% off their first stay from August 19 to December 20. Together, the resort and residences show how Ennismore is applying Mondrian’s design and cultural positioning to a destination where accommodation, dining and leisure are packaged as one experience.
