New Rugged and Crystal cases combine drop protection with ROKFORM’s mounting ecosystem, showing how phone accessories are becoming integrated mobility tools.
ROKFORM has introduced Rugged and Crystal cases for Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, extending its twist-lock and magnetic mounting system to the latest devices. Both cases use the company’s MAGMAX magnets, which ROKFORM says provide two to three times the magnetic holding power of standard cases. The products are available now alongside screen and camera lens protectors, giving the Irvine-based accessories maker a broader offering around device protection and mounting.
The launch places the cases within a category that increasingly links everyday smartphone protection with activities such as driving, cycling, motorcycling and golf. ROKFORM’s system is designed to secure a phone to compatible mounts rather than treating a case as a standalone protective shell. Its product range therefore connects a familiar consumer accessory with a wider hardware ecosystem built around mobility and hands-free access.
The Rugged Case uses a black dual-compound construction with reinforced corners, a raised bezel and textured side grips. ROKFORM says it exceeds military drop-test standards for protection against drops of up to six feet, while remaining slim enough to carry in a pocket. The clear Crystal Case is intended to keep the phone’s colour visible and combines a flexible TPU body with integrated polycarbonate components; it carries the same stated drop rating as the Rugged model.
Both models include ROKFORM’s patented RokLock twist-lock mount, which is compatible with the company’s mounts for cars, motorcycles, bikes and golf carts. The MAGMAX magnets are also designed for compatible surfaces, mounts, chargers and accessories, while offering a stronger magnetic hold than standard MagSafe, according to ROKFORM. The combination gives the cases a dual role: protecting the handset and acting as the connection point for a broader set of use cases.
ROKFORM said it has been designing durable device cases for more than 14 years and has built nearly 20 patents around its products. The iPhone 18 range continues that emphasis on protection without unnecessary bulk, while making the company’s mounting hardware relevant to owners of Apple’s newest professional models. Its significance lies less in a new case format than in reinforcing the accessory as part of a connected physical system around the phone.
