The bourbon brand is broadening its college-football presence through creator media, broadcaster content, university partnerships and limited-edition bottles for the 2026 season.
Evan Williams Bourbon is expanding its college-football platform with a new partnership with Snapback Sports, returning Collegiate Edition bottles and continued collaboration with ESPN broadcaster Molly McGrath. The programme extends Evan Williams Bourbon Nation, a brand initiative centred on the traditions, rivalries and communal rituals surrounding college football. It also gives the bourbon brand several ways to connect with fans, from live tailgates and touring sports content to university-specific packaging and broadcaster-led engagement.
The 2026 season will continue Evan Williams’ relationship with Learfield across six university programmes: the University of Alabama, The Ohio State University, the University of Oklahoma, the University of Oregon, the University of South Carolina and Syracuse University. The partnership combines official university relationships with on-campus activations, limited-edition collectibles and game-day experiences. For Evan Williams, that places the brand within a defined group of college-sports communities rather than relying on a single national campaign.
Snapback Sports will serve as the presenting sponsor of Snapback Saturdays, a college-football tour travelling to marquee matchups throughout the season. The creator-led sports media company will also appear at Evan Williams Bourbon Nation tailgates at the University of Alabama on October 10 and the University of Oklahoma on November 14. Its original content will support a consumer sweepstakes offering fans the chance to win an Evan Williams tailgate trailer, while McGrath will contribute to brand content and fan-engagement initiatives during the season.
The product element is the return of Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon Nation Collegiate Edition bottles for the same six university markets. The 750mL bottles contain a 2018 vintage of Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon and feature university-colour wax, custom front and back labels, and commemorative string tags carrying each school’s logo. Available from early August, the bottles are allocated for sale exclusively within participating school markets, with selected editions also offered at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Louisville.
The combination of media, live experiences, talent and collectible packaging reflects a broad brand-building approach to college sports, where participation extends beyond signage or one-off sponsorships. Evan Williams is using the Bourbon Nation platform to connect the physical ritual of a special-edition bottle with the social energy of tailgates, campus events and fan content. The strategy keeps the brand’s college-football activity anchored to six university communities while adding a more creator-led route into the category.
