The lightweight playard expands the sleep brand’s product portfolio with a compact design intended to work across travel, shared accommodation and everyday use.
SlumberPod announced the launch of SlumberGo on April 14, 2026, introducing a travel crib designed for sleep and play at home and while travelling. The company described the release as its first new product launch in two years and an expansion into a new product category. SlumberPod said at the time that SlumberGo was available for $249 through Nordstrom, Babylist and its own website, placing the product across both specialist and department-store retail channels.
The launch broadens a range previously centred on portable sleep environments, including SlumberPod’s blackout privacy pod and SlumberTot inflatable toddler mattress. SlumberGo is designed to fit underneath the company’s privacy pod, creating a more integrated arrangement for families using shared rooms or temporary accommodation. The release positioned that compatibility as a response to parents seeking fewer bulky products and equipment that works together across different settings.
SlumberPod said the travel crib is 25 per cent lighter than traditional pack-and-plays, although the release did not identify the comparison models. Babylist lists the product at 17.2 pounds and gives its assembled dimensions as 37.8 inches long, 23.6 inches wide and 23.6 inches high. The crib includes a breathable Bedgear Air-X mattress, machine-washable covers and an airport-friendly backpack carry bag. Nordstrom’s product listing also describes a compact fold, rapid setup, a front zipper door and a design intended to fit in an aircraft overhead bin.
Those details show how SlumberPod is applying its portable-sleep focus to the underlying crib rather than solely to accessories placed around an existing playard. The combination of a lighter frame, backpack transport and compatibility with the blackout pod creates a connected system spanning transit, play and rest. General manager and brand owner Melissa Gad said the product was developed for settings ranging from airport terminals to shared hotel rooms, while maintaining the consistent sleep environment associated with the brand.
SlumberGo also gives SlumberPod a larger role in the equipment families carry, moving the brand from modifying a sleep space to supplying more of that space itself. According to the release, the company has served more than one million parents and is recommended by more than 200 paediatric sleep consultants worldwide. By adding a travel crib that can be used independently or beneath its established privacy pod, SlumberPod is extending its product logic across a broader portion of portable family sleep.
