The 175-seat restaurant marks Gymkhana’s first US location, combining North Indian cuisine, club-inspired interiors and a broad drinks programme at ARIA.
ARIA Resort & Casino has brought Gymkhana, the two Michelin-starred London restaurant, to Las Vegas in partnership with JKS Restaurants and MGM Resorts International. The opening gives ARIA its first Indian fine-dining concept and marks Gymkhana’s first location in the United States. For ARIA, the addition broadens a resort dining portfolio that already includes concepts such as Din Tai Fung, Carbone and CATCH, while extending JKS Restaurants’ international presence into one of the world’s most visible hospitality markets.
Gymkhana’s Las Vegas arrival places a Mayfair dining brand within the resort-led environment of the Las Vegas Strip. The restaurant is designed for 175 guests and draws on India’s historic Gymkhana members’ clubs and private residences, with a palette of jade green, dark timber, brass, Kashmiri chili red and teal. North End, the UK-based studio led by Samuel Hosker, designed the interiors to combine the intimacy of a London townhouse with the exuberance associated with Las Vegas.
The menu was created by JKS co-founder Karam Sethi and is overseen by Gymkhana Las Vegas executive chef Srikant Kumar. It takes inspiration from North India, with influences from the South and West, and is organised around appetisers, kebabs and tikkas, curry and biryani, and sabzi. London favourites such as tandoori masala lamb chops, morel mushrooms with truffle pilaf and lasooni wild tiger prawns sit alongside dishes created for Las Vegas, including Wagyu Keema Naan and Beef Shortrib Pepper Fry. Guests can order à la carte, choose a tasting menu including a vegetarian option, or select set menus for larger gatherings.
The beverage programme extends the same positioning beyond the food. It includes Indian-inspired cocktails, reserve interpretations of classic drinks, a punch trolley serving groups of up to eight, and non-alcoholic options such as salted lemon nimbu pani and Alphonso mango lassi. A 780-selection wine list, with 24 wines available by the glass and vintages dating to 1971 among the German whites, gives the restaurant a substantial drinks proposition alongside its dining offer. The Vault, a secluded section with 58 seats, and The 42 Bar add distinct formats within the wider restaurant.
Gymkhana is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Additional reservations for future dates are scheduled to open on December 15, with bookings available through SevenRooms or the ARIA concierge. JKS Restaurants, founded by Jyotin, Karam and Sunaina Sethi in 2008, describes its portfolio as spanning 30 restaurants across the UK, Middle East and United States, making the Las Vegas site a focused step in the group’s stated expansion across North America and the Middle East.
