The limited-time collection pairs historic drinking vessels with commissioned craftsmanship and a Pendleton Woolen Mills collaboration, extending whisky culture into Western-inspired home entertaining.
Pendleton Whisky has introduced The Pendleton Whisky Heritage Collection, a limited-time assortment of historic Western drinking vessels, commissioned artwork and collaborative barware. The collection makes its in-person debut at the Pendleton Round-Up, where the brand’s story began, and connects whisky consumption with the objects, craftsmanship and rituals associated with the American West. Its significance lies in treating barware as a form of cultural storytelling rather than simply a serving accessory.
The collection centres on a one-of-one sterling silver decanter commissioned from Western silversmith Beau Compton. The vessel features hand-sculpted sterling silver scrollwork and a bucking horse rendered in 10-karat rose gold, linking its design to the Pendleton Round-Up. Compton said the piece was intended to feel as though it had already passed between generations, reflecting the collection’s emphasis on use, history and inheritance.
Six vintage drinking vessels sourced from collectors and artisans across the American West broaden the range. They include a sterling silver buffalo skull flask, a Wyoming steer horn vessel, a cowboy boot decanter with cast-iron coaster, an engraved Montana flask, pewter drinking cups dating to the cattle-drive era of the 1800s and a black glass horse-head decanter with hand-etched Western imagery. The collection also includes wool-lined wooden bar trays, leather-trimmed barware rolls, coasters and cocktail glass wraps made with wool woven at Pendleton Woolen Mills’ mill in Pendleton, Oregon.
The commercial structure adds a philanthropic dimension to the offer. Pendleton Whisky says all proceeds from sales of the Beau Compton commission and collector vessels will benefit the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, while starting bids for the initial collection range from $65 to $9,500. Bidding is open through October 6 at PendletonWhisky.com, and the collaboration pieces are available while supplies last online and as the collection travels to selected events.
The Heritage Collection is scheduled to continue its journey to Fort Worth, Texas, in December and to Denver in January 2027, with new additions planned along the way, including further works from Compton. By combining auctionable artefacts, branded home goods and event-based discovery, Pendleton Whisky is extending its Western positioning into a broader collecting and entertaining context. The approach gives the brand a way to make heritage tangible while keeping the whisky itself at the centre of each occasion.
