The theme-park operator outlined coordinated 2026 programmes across three US parks, combining aerial displays, nighttime animal presentations, music, rides and seasonal events.
SeaWorld outlined a coast-to-coast summer entertainment programme for its Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio parks, centred on new drone displays and nighttime animal presentations. The May 7, 2026 release reported that the San Diego and San Antonio parks would stage their first drone shows, while Orlando would introduce a new aerial production. The coordinated line-up placed technology-led spectacles alongside live performance, animal experiences and family entertainment across three regional destinations.
The release positioned nighttime programming as the common thread linking the parks, while giving each location a distinct schedule and mix of attractions. It reported that San Diego and San Antonio were due to begin their summer offerings on May 22, 2026, with Orlando’s Electric Ocean event scheduled to start on June 12, 2026. Marc Swanson, chief executive of parent company United Parks & Resorts, said the programmes brought together animal experiences, immersive entertainment and high-energy celebrations.
In Orlando, the release scheduled Electric Ocean to include Hydro Surge, a cirque production with acrobatics, dancers and a live drummer, alongside the Club SeaGlow DJ party, a drone spectacle and the returning Ignite fireworks show. San Diego’s scheduled Ocean of Dreams production was described as a 12-minute display using 600 synchronised drones, while the park’s other announced additions included a refreshed Shark Encounter, Dolphin Adventures and The Wonders of North American Wildlife. Its Summer Concert Series was also reported to feature R&B, hip-hop and rap from the 1990s and early 2000s.
San Antonio’s Electric Ocean programme was reported to combine the RhythMotion Ocean Parade, the Hydropower: Xtreme FX waterski stunt show and the SeaWorld Illuminight Drone Finale, using 400 synchronised drones. The park also included Barracuda Strike in its summer line-up, describing the attraction as the tallest inverted family coaster in North America. Across the three parks, recurring nighttime presentations featuring killer whales, sea lions and dolphins created a shared structure, while the drone fleets and location-specific productions differentiated each destination.
The announcement showed SeaWorld applying a recognisable seasonal format across several markets without making every park’s programme identical. Orlando paired its drone display with fireworks and cirque performance, San Diego combined aerial entertainment with concerts and refreshed animal experiences, and San Antonio added a parade, stunt show and family coaster. By extending the offer from daytime attractions into coordinated evening programming, the company framed its summer calendar around longer, multi-format visits rather than a single headline attraction.
