The Louisville event has issued practical guidance for first-time visitors, reflecting the scale, complexity and commercial focus of modern equipment exhibitions.
Equip Exposition is advising first-time visitors to plan carefully ahead of its October 20–23, 2026 event at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The international landscape, outdoor living and equipment exposition drew nearly 30,000 landscapers, dealers, contractors, hardscape experts and outdoor power equipment manufacturers last year, according to the organiser. With more than one million square feet of exhibit space and a 30-acre Outdoor Demo Yard, Equip presents a substantial logistical challenge as well as a commercial opportunity for attendees.
The guidance positions preparation as central to navigating a show that extends across multiple exhibition areas and venues. Equip recommends registering early, identifying business problems that need solving, planning routes between hotels and the Kentucky Exposition Center, and reviewing the event’s schedule before arrival. The advice also reflects the show’s mix of trade, education and entertainment, with attendees able to combine equipment demonstrations and exhibits with training, concerts and networking.
Practical details include a registration price of $30 before September 10, after which the fee rises to $60, followed by a further increase to $120 at the door on October 20. Education, certification classes and training can be added to registration, while an Equip Academy pass priced at $170 provides access to dozens of education sessions, the release states. The Equip app, sponsored by CASE Construction Equipment, is intended to provide schedules, maps and personalised planning tools for the event.
The operational advice underlines how the show’s scale shapes the attendee experience. Visitors are encouraged to reserve accommodation early, as the organiser said attendees booked most available hotels last year, including many on complimentary shuttle routes. Once at the venue, attendees are advised to avoid the main gate during rush hour, use alternative entrances after 10 a.m., and collect badges at locations including the Welcome Reception at Churchill Downs, the North Wing or other sites across Louisville hotels and the airport.
Equip is also encouraging visitors to bring colleagues, follow up with contacts after the event and put new ideas into practice when they return to work. The show is owned and managed by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute and is co-located with Hardscape North America. Its scheduled 2026 programme therefore presents the exposition not simply as a venue for viewing equipment, but as a structured setting for training, commercial conversations and industry connection.
