The latest chapter of Samsonite’s brand platform places lifestyle bags at the centre of a campaign designed to connect travel products with daily routines.
Samsonite is continuing its partnership with Olivia Culpo through the latest chapter of its “It’s Not Just a Bag, It’s a Samsonite” brand platform, shifting attention from the Chocolate Mauve collection to lifestyle bags and backpacks. The campaign centres on the Better Than Basic™ collection, presenting travel-oriented products as versatile essentials for work, home and movement between the two. Released on July 29, 2026, the announcement illustrates Samsonite’s effort to frame its bag portfolio around everyday use as well as travel.
The campaign follows what Samsonite described as the high-fashion debut of its Chocolate Mauve collection, but adopts a more routine-focused setting for the latest work. Culpo appears in a series of vignettes built around familiar activities, including leaving for the day with a tote, taking a work call from home with a laptop and preparing for a getaway with a weekender placed on top of luggage. The creative approach keeps the emphasis on how bags fit into an interconnected schedule rather than separating travel from other parts of life.
Two new additions to the Better Than Basic™ collection are highlighted: a crossbody bag and a travel backpack. Samsonite describes both as designed to move through different parts of the day, while the wider range includes totes, weekenders and other lifestyle bags. The company says the collection is positioned around versatility, reliability and integration into daily routines, with the products available through samsonite.com and select retailers nationwide.
The announcement also shows how Samsonite is using a recognised public figure to support a broader interpretation of its category. Culpo’s role is presented not simply as a style reference but as a demonstration of how the products can accompany work, home responsibilities and travel. Samsonite Head of Brand Nicole Adriance said the campaign reflects people balancing multiple roles, while the company linked its expansion of the lifestyle bag category to demand for durability, versatility and longevity. Those claims remain the brand’s stated rationale rather than an independently reported market finding.
The campaign will roll out across North America through digital, social, retail, connected television and out-of-home channels. Developed by StudioHS and directed in partnership with Gut Feeling Production, it extends Samsonite’s wider platform while keeping the Better Than Basic™ collection at its centre. For the company, the work places everyday carry alongside luggage within a single brand narrative, suggesting a restrained repositioning of travel gear as part of a broader daily wardrobe.
