Hershey’s Chocolate World is refreshing rides, introducing limited-time food and drink, and packaging attractions into a seasonal offer tied to the US 250th birthday.
Hershey’s Chocolate World is marking the United States’ 250th birthday with a summer programme spanning a refreshed free tour ride, a new family trolley, seasonal food and drinks, and a limited-time ticket bundle. The Pennsylvania attraction said the programme is designed to add new experiences to its established chocolate-focused offering, with the central changes combining Americana-themed updates and familiar Hershey’s brands. The announcement illustrates how destination attractions can use a major national anniversary to organise products, rides and hospitality into a single seasonal proposition.
The programme’s headline attraction is the Hershey’s Great American Chocolate Bar Tour Ride, which is scheduled to carry an Americana summer overlay from May 22 through September 7, 2026. According to the release, the free ride will feature a reimagined version of its original theme song and updated Americana-inspired décor in the Barnyard scene. The Summer Family Trolley is also scheduled to operate from the announcement period through Labor Day, with upgraded mechanics, storytelling about Hershey and Milton Hershey, characters, sweet treats and a sing-along.
Hershey’s Chocolate World is also offering a Summer Bonus Bundle for $49.95 per person, with the release saying guests can save more than 30 percent. The bundle includes Create Your Own Candy Bar, Hershey’s Great Candy Expedition, Hershey’s Unwrapped and one sweet-treat voucher, and is available for purchase at the time of the announcement for visits from June 1 through June 28, 2026. Other scheduled experiences include Breakfast with Hersh and Friends on June 20, June 21, June 27 and June 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, with adult tickets priced at $39.95 and children’s tickets at $25.95.
The seasonal menu extends the anniversary theme into the attraction’s food and beverage offer. Pennsylvania-only items listed in the release include Hershey’s S’mores Pie, a cheesecake inspired by Hershey’s Nuggets and a Red, White, and Berry Parfait, while drinks include a frozen version of Hershey’s Melted Hot Chocolate and strawberry-flavoured coffee options. Selected locations will also offer items such as a Bubble Yum-inspired cotton-candy milkshake and an espresso milkshake, while Pennsylvania guests aged 21 and over can order cocktails inspired by Jolly Rancher and Twizzlers, with mocktail availability noted for the mojito.
The broader programme keeps the attraction’s core model intact while adding reasons to combine rides, food and timed events in one visit. A custom Liberty Bell is scheduled to remain on display at Hershey’s Chocolate World through December 2026 as part of America250 PA’s Bells Across PA programme. Together, the ride refresh, bundle and seasonal menu give the Pennsylvania site a tightly defined summer identity, while leaving the underlying chocolate experiences recognisable to returning visitors.
