The hospitality group’s plans for Talya in Montauk and Maison Close in Southampton place two distinct concepts across key East End summer destinations.
3rd Space Hospitality announced plans to expand its Hamptons presence through the return of Talya in Montauk and the Southampton arrival of Maison Close. In its April 15, 2026 release, the group reported that Talya was scheduled to launch over Memorial Day Weekend 2026, while Maison Close Southampton was set to debut at the Capri Southampton in mid-June. The two projects extend concepts associated with the company’s New York and Hamptons portfolio across separate East End locations.
Talya originally launched in 2023 and was presented by the company as combining Greek-inspired flavours, coastal French influences and a high-energy atmosphere. The release placed its next iteration at a beachfront site at 148 South Emerson Avenue, below Bounce Beach, within what it described as a historic Montauk property. The restaurant’s website identifies Talya as a Mediterranean dining concept directed by chef Geoffrey Lechantoux, with an emphasis on Greek cuisine and fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
For the Montauk restaurant, Plate Creative developed an interior featuring greenery, layered textures, warm coastal tones, woven elements and soft lighting, according to the release. The setting was designed to move from dinner into a late-night lounge format. Maison Close Southampton, meanwhile, occupies the Capri Southampton at 281 County Road 39A and adapts the brand’s French bistro cooking and Parisian-influenced atmosphere for a coastal setting. Capri Southampton’s website also identifies Maison Close as its restaurant addition for summer 2026.
Maison Close’s Southampton space was designed by DMDesign with references to the South of France, while its food and drinks programme encompasses French techniques, seasonal produce, cocktails and wine, the release said. Lechantoux oversees the culinary direction of both restaurants, giving the two venues a shared operational link despite their different Mediterranean and Parisian identities. Maison Close’s official website lists both its original SoHo restaurant, which opened on July 22, 2022, and the Southampton address.
The expansion illustrates 3rd Space Hospitality’s approach of building destinations around the combined role of food, design and social atmosphere. Co-owner Cole Bernard said the two openings represented the group’s continuing commitment to creating experiences intended to bring people together. By pairing a reworked Montauk concept with an established New York brand in Southampton, the company’s announcement set out a broader Hamptons footprint without making the venues interchangeable.
