The invitation-only QiRetreat combines Chinese philosophy, local relationships and guided inquiry in small-group expeditions beginning in Guangdong in September 2026.
Rich & Sassy Wealth Strategies has announced QiRetreat, a private, invitation-only China expedition for leaders and changemakers, with 10-day departures scheduled to begin in Guangdong in September 2026. Each cohort is limited to 12 guests, and select departures are planned from September 2026 through January 2027. The announcement places the programme at the intersection of leadership development, cultural immersion and personal reflection, rather than presenting it as a conventional sightseeing itinerary.
The expedition is rooted in the Chinese principle of self-cultivation: beginning with the individual before carrying that grounding into family, community and the wider world. Its stated audience includes people whose decisions and responsibilities affect businesses, families, organisations and communities, but who may have had limited space to focus on their own development. That positioning gives the retreat a narrower purpose than general luxury travel, with guided inquiry forming part of the experience alongside place-based activities.
The itinerary begins in Guangzhou and continues to either Xiqiao Mountain in Foshan or Chashan Organic Tea Farm, both in Guangdong. Rich & Sassy says the programme brings together philosophy, tea, food, movement, culture, nature, traditional Chinese medicine-informed practices, wellness guidance and guided inquiry as one integrated experience. The company describes the format as being built around relationships, practitioners and settings developed through 15 years of work on the ground, with participation available by private invitation.
WFDynamic, the China-based expedition platform associated with the programme, provides the local operating framework. Founded by Kevin Leung, it says it has spent 15 years delivering experiential learning, corporate education, cultural programmes and transformation experiences for companies, organisations and leadership groups across Asia. Its QiRetreat Dynamic platform describes Chinese philosophy as the foundation for a series of retreats including tea-mountain, mountain-forest and sailing journeys, reinforcing the initiative’s emphasis on lived cultural practice rather than classroom instruction.
QiRetreat was created by Hong Kong-born siblings Cecilia “Cece” Leung and Kevin Leung, whose professional paths developed across North America and Asia. Cecilia Leung founded Rich & Sassy Wealth Strategies, a New York-based strategic advisory firm that works across wealth, decision-making, self-cultivation and quality of life. With invitation requests reported as open through the firm’s China webpage, the announcement extends that advisory premise into a selective, place-based format where leadership questions are explored through Chinese philosophy, local access and time away from ordinary routines.
