The 2026 CHOC Walk will bring participants through Disneyland Resort while raising funds for paediatric care, research and family support in Orange County.
CHOC Foundation will stage the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park at Disneyland Resort on Sunday, August 2, with the approximately 3-mile fundraiser supporting Rady Children’s Health in Orange County. The event will take participants through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at sunrise, before the parks open to the public. Funds will support paediatric programmes, specialty care, education and research, helping provide care to children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
The walk is now in its 34th year and has developed into a community event involving individuals, companies, schools and other groups. Rady Children’s Health said the 2025 edition brought together more than 6,500 participants across 350 teams and raised more than $3 million for children’s health and wellbeing. This year’s event is expected to draw between 350 and 400 teams, with participants coming from across the United States as well as Canada, Mexico, Australia and Japan.
The route will combine a fundraising challenge with access to the two Disneyland Resort theme parks before normal daily operations begin. Registration information, event details and instructions for joining or starting a team are available through the CHOC Walk website. The event’s organisers also direct participants to social channels under the “CHOC Walk” name for updates and use #chocwalk as its event hashtag.
The partnership also reflects a long-running relationship between Rady Children’s Health and Disneyland Resort. Disneyland Resort vice president of communications and public affairs Cathi Killian said the resort’s collaboration with Rady Children’s over more than 30 years has helped raise $49 million for children and families. CHOC Foundation senior vice president and chief development officer Jessica Miley said the event’s changing surprises and atmosphere are part of what makes the experience memorable for participants.
For Rady Children’s Health, the walk places fundraising within a highly recognisable family entertainment setting while maintaining a direct focus on paediatric services and research. Kimberly Chavalas Cripe, co-president and chief executive of Rady Children’s Health, described the event as a way for the community to support children and families. With registration open and the August date set, CHOC Walk is again positioning participation and philanthropy as part of the Disneyland Resort experience.
