The water brand combines vapor-distilled alkaline hydration, consumer-focused packaging and plastic recovery commitments as premium bottled water faces closer environmental scrutiny.
ZenWTR is positioning its premium water around three connected propositions: crisp taste, portable design and measurable environmental commitments. Founded by beverage entrepreneur Lance Collins, the brand offers vapor-distilled alkaline water with a pH of 9.5, then adds minerals and electrolytes including calcium, potassium and magnesium. Its approach matters because the bottle, rather than only the liquid inside it, is central to the product’s identity.
The flagship 20-ounce format is designed for active routines, on-the-go hydration and everyday use, while the wider portfolio extends the brand across additional occasions and channels. ZenWTR says its flagship bottle is made from 100% recycled, certified ocean-bound plastic collected from coastal areas where recycling resources are limited. The company frames that material choice as a way to give recovered plastic new value while supporting local collection activity.
The environmental proposition extends beyond the bottle itself. ZenWTR says it supports programmes that rescue and recycle the equivalent of five ocean-bound plastic bottles for each qualifying Alumi-Tek bottle produced, and that it commits one per cent of revenue to ocean conservation and recycling education, advancement and access in the United States. The brand also says it received Plastic Negative Certification after a third-party assessment and supports recovery equal to twice its annual plastic footprint through the Plastic Credit Exchange.
That combination places packaging at the centre of ZenWTR’s category strategy rather than treating sustainability as a secondary label claim. The company’s supply network has sourced ocean-bound plastic from Indonesia, Thailand, Ecuador and Paraguay, with supply partners working on collection infrastructure and bottle-deposit programmes. The model links product design with recovery systems, although the claims remain those of the brand and its certification and programme partners.
ZenWTR is currently available through retailers including Whole Foods Market, QuikTrip, Walmart, Amazon, Circle K Frontier Division, Kwik Trip, Bristol Farms and Erewhon. The company says its products will be available at H-E-B locations beginning October 5, extending the brand’s retail footprint while keeping its environmental proposition tied to a familiar everyday purchase. For ZenWTR, the broader implication is that premium water can compete through taste and format while making packaging responsibility part of the consumer decision.
