The new digital-first marketplace brings booking, policy, payments and support together for smaller companies seeking greater control over business travel costs.
ALTOUR has launched ALTOUR One, a digital-first business travel marketplace aimed at small and mid-sized businesses with growing travel needs. The platform combines booking, policy, payments, reporting, traveller visibility and support in one service, with the company saying it can help clients reduce travel leakage and achieve savings of up to 20 per cent. The announcement addresses a practical gap between unmanaged travel and the more complex programmes often built for large enterprises.
The marketplace is designed for organisations that need more oversight without adding a dedicated travel manager or extensive administrative processes. ALTOUR says employees at such businesses can otherwise book through multiple supplier websites, online travel agencies and aggregators, leaving finance teams with fragmented data and limited visibility into spending and traveller locations. ALTOUR One is intended to consolidate that activity into a more controlled travel programme.
The service combines direct connections, supplier-partner content and broader marketplace options, allowing travellers to find, compare and book flights, hotels and other travel requirements in one platform. According to ALTOUR, the marketplace is backed by more than $20 billion in buying power and provides access to more than 2.6 million supplier partners, 400-plus airlines and more than one million hotels. Integration with Engine also gives travellers access to prepaid refundable rates, which the company says can provide lower prices while retaining cancellation flexibility.
Operational controls form another part of the offer. A stoplight policy system shows whether a selected option is within company guidelines, requires notification or is blocked, while the platform includes real-time reporting dashboards, connected payments and expense capabilities, traveller visibility, 24/7 U.S.-based agent support and tools for recovering unused airline credits. ALTOUR also says ALTOUR One can be implemented in days rather than months, with minimal IT setup and no dedicated travel manager required.
The launch gives ALTOUR a more defined proposition for the small and mid-market segment while retaining a route towards more advanced managed travel services as clients expand. Its significance lies less in adding another booking interface than in bringing supplier breadth, policy controls and financial visibility into a single workflow for businesses that may not need a full enterprise programme. For those companies, ALTOUR One positions travel management as a scalable operating tool rather than a collection of separate booking and reporting tasks.
