The Oregon retreat is marking 10 years with an open house, highlighting how a five-unit experiment grew into a seven-home Pacific Northwest getaway.
Petite Retreats is marking the 10th anniversary of Mt. Hood Tiny House Village, an Oregon retreat that began with five custom-built tiny houses and now comprises seven rentable homes. The anniversary reflects the development of a compact accommodation concept into an established destination within Mt. Hood Village campground, just outside Portland. The company reported that the village will host an open-house celebration on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Welches, Oregon.
The village sits within the wider Mt. Hood Village Resort and positions small-scale accommodation as a base for outdoor travel in the region. According to Petite Retreats, guests have access to more than 700 miles of groomed hiking trails, as well as lakes, streams and ski slopes. The release also cites mountain biking, fishing, bird watching and local attractions including the Alpine Slide among the activities available around the resort.
Petite Retreats said the village expanded in response to traveller demand, adding two of its largest models, Ingrid and Anderson. The homes range from 265 to 360 square feet and are described by the company as fully equipped rentals. The anniversary event is set to include self-guided tours of all seven tiny houses, live music, promotional giveaways and complimentary food from Mt. Hood Village Deli & Sweets.
The announcement places the Oregon site within Petite Retreats’ broader collection of outdoor accommodation, which the company says includes tiny houses, containers, cabins, cottages, yurts and tents across the United States. Other tiny-house village locations named in the release include Natchez Trace near Nashville, Leavenworth east of Seattle, Tuxbury north of Boston and Sunshine Key in the Florida Keys. The company also cites two tiny houses near Sedona, Arizona, at Thousand Trails Verde Valley, and Yukon Trails Tiny House Container Village near the Wisconsin Dells.
For the company, the anniversary provides a public marker for a single resort concept that has remained centred on short-stay accommodation and access to outdoor recreation. The open house is scheduled rather than reported as completed, preserving the release’s stated status for the June 12–13, 2026 event. Mt. Hood Tiny House Village’s next decade will therefore begin from an operating seven-home site whose significance, in the company’s account, lies in combining a small physical footprint with a broader destination experience.
