Vorwerk has added Arabic as a language option on its Thermomix TM7 cooking appliance, giving users access to an interface designed for Arabic-language navigation. The update includes a right-to-left layout and an Arabic keyboard, allowing people to type, search and follow Guided Cooking directly on the device. Arabic became available on TM7 from 21 September 2026, marking a product expansion aimed at making the cooking experience more familiar for Arab users and communities living across cultures.
The change places language accessibility alongside the appliance’s existing digital cooking functions. Arabic can be selected independently of the country where the device is used, while recipe content remains in its original language within the Arabic right-to-left environment. Vorwerk said the addition responds to a long-standing request from its Thermomix community, linking a software update to the way food can preserve family memories, regional traditions and a sense of home.
More than 100 Arabic recipes are set to be available for Thermomix TM7, drawing on culinary traditions from Morocco, Algeria, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Tunisia and Egypt. The selection includes dishes associated with family and community settings, such as mezze, kibbeh, kabsa, molokhiya and couscous. The Arabic-language Cookidoo app and web experience are being developed separately and are planned to follow by the end of 2026, while users can continue to access recipes in the platform’s other available languages.
The update shows how connected kitchen products can extend beyond appliance functionality by adapting the interaction layer around cultural and linguistic needs. For Vorwerk, the practical elements are straightforward—translation, text input and interface direction—but their combination affects how users discover recipes and operate the device in everyday settings. The company’s positioning of Arabic as an additional language, rather than a country-specific feature, also gives the update a potentially broader relevance across markets and diaspora communities, although the available material does not quantify its commercial reach.
