The extended-stay hotel brand’s My Pet Points perk rewards spending on animal stays, broadening its loyalty proposition to recognise guests travelling with pets.
My Place Hotels has launched My Pet Points, adding pet-fee spending to the earning structure of its Stay Rewarded loyalty programme. Members receive 10 points for every dollar spent on pet fees during a qualified stay, extending rewards beyond the room booking itself. Announced on April 15, 2026, the perk gives the extended-stay brand another way to connect its guest programme with the practical costs of travelling alongside an animal.
The initiative places pet travel within the hotel’s established loyalty framework rather than treating it solely as an operational accommodation. Stacey Bebo, the company’s vice-president of guest loyalty and engagement, said many guests travel with pets and described the programme as a way to make Stay Rewarded more valuable while recognising those relationships. The company’s release also cited an American Pet Products Association projection that US pet spending would reach $165 billion in 2026.
My Pet Points is available through Stay Rewarded, which the company describes as a free programme for returning guests. Existing benefits include early check-in and late check-out when available, a complimentary bottle of water at check-in, exclusive offers and points on qualifying stays that can be exchanged for rewards. The company’s My Pet Points page says members earn points automatically on eligible amounts associated with pet fees, while its pet policy applies and charges vary by property.
For My Place Hotels, the addition widens the range of spending recognised by its loyalty system without creating a separate membership scheme for pet owners. It also links a fee that might otherwise be viewed only as an added travel cost to the prospect of a later reward. Ahead of the launch, the company said it sent My Pet Points-branded pet toys and plush dogs to its properties to introduce the perk to staff and guests.
The programme’s significance lies in its narrow but tangible adjustment to the economics of a pet-friendly stay. Rather than changing the underlying property-level fee structure, My Pet Points incorporates qualifying pet charges into the same points environment used for hotel stays. By applying loyalty recognition to a specific component of the guest bill, My Place Hotels is using its existing programme to address the circumstances of travellers who bring pets.
