The partnership with AirportLabs will connect airport data, resource planning and team communications as passenger volumes place greater demands on the Dominican Republic’s aviation network.
AERODOM, formally Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI, is partnering with AirportLabs to introduce cloud-based digital infrastructure across its six Dominican Republic airports. The programme begins with the group-wide deployment of SkyCore AODB and Allegra RMS, alongside the Airport Community App. Together, the systems are intended to give operational teams a shared, real-time view of airport activity as the network manages more than 16 million passengers annually.
The initiative covers Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo, as well as airports serving Puerto Plata, Samaná, Santo Domingo Norte and Barahona. AERODOM operates the facilities under a concession extending until 2060 and has been part of the VINCI Airports network since 2016. The company frames the technology investment as part of a wider effort to match physical growth in Dominican tourism and air travel with more coordinated digital operations.
SkyCore AODB will serve as the central operational data system, connecting information and automating core workflows in real time. Allegra RMS uses machine-learning algorithms to allocate gates, aircraft stands and check-in counters dynamically, while the Airport Community App brings operational teams onto one mobile platform for communication and collaboration. AirportLabs says the combined tools are designed to reduce manual inputs, improve visibility and help teams respond more quickly to changing conditions.
The deployment illustrates how airport technology is moving beyond isolated systems towards a shared operating layer across multiple stakeholders. For AERODOM, the practical focus is on resource coordination, operational transparency and the ability to manage capacity across different facilities from a consistent digital framework. The company’s chief financial officer, Damien Stephan, said better data sharing and automation are central to streamlining processes as traffic levels rise.
AirportLabs brings experience from deployments at more than 100 airports, while AERODOM contributes knowledge of the Dominican Republic’s operating environment and the requirements of the VINCI Airports group. The partnership therefore links a software rollout with a broader effort to standardise how information moves across the network. Its significance will ultimately depend on how effectively the systems translate shared data into smoother day-to-day decisions across all six airports.
