Kohler, Wisconsin, the resort destination by Kohler Co., has announced the reopening of Woodlake Market on July 17, 2026. The reimagined market and food hall will combine premium groceries, prepared foods, wellness-minded products, a café, communal gathering spaces and a Kohler Chocolates boutique. The project extends the site’s role beyond convenience retail, presenting it as a place for locals, resort guests and Kohler Co. associates to shop, dine and spend time.
Woodlake Market has operated as a part of the Village of Kohler since 1986, according to the company’s announcement and accompanying market information. The renewed format is positioned around the overlap between everyday shopping, culinary discovery and social activity, with the market located beside the Inn on Woodlake and Taverne on Woodlake. Its programming will include tastings, seasonal workshops and pop-up experiences intended to connect visitors with local makers and regional products.
The assortment is designed to balance familiar staples with more specialised discoveries. Kohler says approximately 80 percent of the grocery offering is sourced from organic products, alongside pantry provisions, specialty foods, bakery selections, frozen treats, beverages and elevated grab-and-go meals. The market will also feature products from Kohler-based and regional producers, while the new Kohler Chocolates boutique will offer handcrafted confections including Chocolate Chips and four-piece Terrapins.
Design is central to the repositioning. Kohler’s in-house design team collaborated with interior design firm AvroKO on an environment that retains historic structural columns while introducing clearer wayfinding, an expanded communal gathering area and a nature-themed palette. The release also describes the project as LEED-certified, with natural stone, handcrafted tile, regional millwork and Kohler fixtures incorporated into the space. Accessibility was considered in the layout of counters, seating and circulation paths.
To mark the reopening, Kohler will host a Grand Opening Celebration from July 17–18, 2026, with complimentary tastings and samples, live music, giveaways and family-friendly activities. The event will also feature Big Joe’s Fuel & Go and Roots to Roses, described in the announcement as other new businesses in the Village of Kohler. Woodlake Market’s relaunch therefore brings together retail, food service and programming in a single hospitality-led setting, while keeping the focus on the practical routines of shopping, eating and gathering.
