WildConcierge combines WildChina’s destination expertise with GuideGeek technology, giving prospective visitors personalised answers before human specialists shape their itineraries.
WildChina has introduced WildConcierge, an AI travel assistant designed to help people begin planning off-the-beaten-path experiences in China. The tool handles high-level inspiration and logistical questions before prospective travellers connect with the company’s human travel experts. Its role is less to replace bespoke trip design than to move the earliest stage of that process into a faster, more interactive format.
WildChina curates, plans and operates tailored journeys focused on connections with China’s local people and culture. WildConcierge extends that approach into the planning stage, where travellers can ask questions about destinations, itineraries and practical arrangements before committing to a detailed proposal. The development reflects a narrower use of artificial intelligence in travel: helping customers articulate what they want while leaving the final experience to specialist staff.
The assistant draws on WildChina’s own destination information alongside more than 1,000 travel-information integrations provided through GuideGeek. It can respond in more than 50 languages and is available through the chat icon on the WildChina website. The companies also developed a custom conversation flow based on questions that WildChina’s customer-service team would normally ask during an initial email or call.
Visa guidance is one practical application. WildChina says questions about China’s transit visa and visa-free policies can depend on a traveller’s nationality, length of stay, arrival and departure countries, and itinerary. The assistant is intended to address those variables while collecting the information needed for a more customised human proposal, which the company says can reduce repetitive work for its service team and travellers.
For WildChina, the value of the system lies in connecting automation with a service model built around bespoke journeys and local expertise. The company says it is the first destination management company to use GuideGeek’s artificial-intelligence technology, extending a platform already used by destination-marketing organisations. WildConcierge therefore positions AI as an access point to specialist travel planning, while the company’s human team remains responsible for shaping and operating the journey.
