Visit Denver’s 2026 summer guide positions Denver as a multi-audience destination, combining major events with cultural programming, hospitality updates and outdoor activities.
Visit Denver, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, has published a 2026 summer guide highlighting Denver’s event calendar, cultural attractions, restaurants, hotels, sports and outdoor experiences. The release, issued on April 9, 2026, points to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre’s 85th anniversary alongside festivals, concerts and family activities. The approach presents the city as a destination designed to serve several types of visitor within one seasonal itinerary.
The calendar spans community celebrations, fandom, outdoor culture and music. Listed events include the Cinco de Mayo Festival on May 2–3, Fan Expo Denver and Outside Days from May 28–31, the Red Bull Soapbox Race on June 13, Juneteenth Music Festival on June 20 and Denver PrideFest on June 28, with Pride programming continuing throughout the month. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival and Underground Music Showcase follow in July, with the latter moving to Denver’s River North Art District and presenting more than 200 performances, according to the release.
Music and cultural programming form another part of the guide’s proposition. Visit Denver highlights the 85th year of operation for Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which has nearly 10,000 seats and is located 15 miles from downtown, as well as concerts by artists including Rod Stewart, Paul Simon, The Avett Brothers, Hilary Duff, Tedeschi Trucks Band and Mt. Joy. The release also points to outdoor concert and film series, the “World’s Largest Dinosaurs” exhibition, Broadway productions at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, historical displays at History Colorado Center and an exhibition by artist Ana María Hernando at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
The guide also uses food, lodging and sport to broaden the city’s summer offer. It names new or recently opened restaurants including Margot, Kizaki, Bear Leek, Cimera, Rougarou, Dear Emilia, Molino Chido, Chicken Riot and Mar Bella Boqueria, while highlighting hotel developments such as La Vista Denver, the All Inn Hotel, a $70 million Hyatt Regency Denver transformation and a multimillion-dollar renovation at The Curtis Hotel. In sport, the release notes Denver Summit FC’s inaugural season, the Colorado Rapids’ 30th anniversary and a summer soccer fan zone scheduled for June 11–July 19, 2026.
For families and outdoor visitors, Visit Denver points to more than 5,000 acres of parks and parkways, nearby Rocky Mountain National Park and attractions including the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Downtown Aquarium and Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park. The bureau says Denver welcomed more than 37.1 million visitors in 2024, generating $10.3 billion in spending, while describing itself as a nonprofit trade association that contracts with the City of Denver to market the destination. The summer guide therefore connects individual experiences with the broader economic role Visit Denver says tourism plays in the city.
