The free dashboard brings card benefits, expiry warnings and points balances into one place as travel rewards become more demanding to manage.
Thrifty Traveler has introduced a free online dashboard designed to help travellers track benefits across more than 120 popular travel credit cards. The tool allows users to monitor whether they have used available perks, review points balances and organise cards for themselves and up to three additional household members. The announcement places a practical management service alongside Thrifty Traveler’s existing flight-deal and travel-news offering.
The tracker addresses a specific complication in travel credit cards: issuers are raising annual fees while adding benefits that may expire if they are not used within specified periods. According to the release, keeping up with those benefits can become time-consuming even for holders of moderately priced cards. The dashboard is intended to centralise that information rather than require travellers to manage separate notes or spreadsheets.
The service builds on a downloadable spreadsheet that Thrifty Traveler introduced the previous autumn, expanding the number of cards covered to more than twice the earlier total. Users can select cards that appear as individual tabs, mark benefits as used and customise additional perks such as lounge access or free baggage. Benefits due to expire within 30 days turn orange and those with two weeks remaining turn red, while the dashboard tallies used benefits against a card’s annual fee.
The tracker also reflects the operational demands created by increasingly detailed card programmes. It does not require credit card numbers, login credentials, Social Security numbers or credit scores, and users can add current balances from major credit card, airline and hotel programmes. The release says updates involving additional cards or features will be pushed automatically to users’ dashboards, although future additions such as duplicate-card and authorised-user tracking remain described as planned updates.
Travellers can access the tool by creating a free account, while existing Thrifty Traveler subscribers can use their current credentials. New users are also added to the company’s daily points-and-miles newsletter, The Extra Mile, according to the release. For Thrifty Traveler, the dashboard extends its role from identifying travel savings to helping users keep track of the benefits attached to the cards they already hold.
