The K-beauty brand is pairing a temporary price reduction with a broader message that healthy skin barriers are built from the first step of a skincare routine, not just the last.
Dr.BRID C is using Amazon Prime Day to introduce more consumers to its skincare philosophy through a limited-time promotion on its signature Soothing Jelly Cleanser. Rather than framing the campaign solely around a discount, the Korean skincare brand is emphasizing the idea that skin barrier care begins during cleansing, a stage that is often overshadowed by serums and moisturizers. From June 23 through June 26, the cleanser will be offered at $9.99, down from its regular price of $15.99, as part of an effort to make its approach to barrier-focused skincare more accessible.
The campaign reflects a growing conversation within the beauty industry about protecting the skin’s natural barrier rather than relying on increasingly complex routines. As consumers become more attentive to ingredient lists and gentler formulations, cleansers have evolved from simple cleansing products into treatments designed to minimize irritation while maintaining hydration. Dr.BRID C positions its cleanser within that shift, arguing that even the most advanced skincare products have limited value if cleansing disrupts the skin before the rest of a routine begins.
The product itself traces its origins to customer demand. According to the company, repeated requests to revive a discontinued foam cleanser, including messages from customers who described it as transformative for their skincare routines, prompted the development of a redesigned formula. Instead of simply bringing back the original product, Dr.BRID C reworked it into a jelly-to-foam cleanser intended to reduce friction during washing while maintaining a comfortable feel immediately afterward. The formula combines amino acid-based surfactants with ingredients including a proteolytic enzyme, Centella Asiatica, hyaluronic acid, squalane, a microbiome complex, and the company’s proprietary PEPTIBRID® peptide.
The launch also reflects a broader trend in K-beauty, where innovation increasingly focuses on skin health rather than dramatic or rapid transformations. Barrier-supporting products have become a central category as consumers seek routines that prioritize long-term skin resilience over intensive treatments. In that context, Dr.BRID C’s Prime Day campaign is less about introducing another cleanser and more about encouraging shoppers to reconsider where effective skincare begins.
