The Glenwood Springs attraction has added five thermal features and three plunge pools, broadening its offer beyond mineral soaking into guided contrast therapy.
Iron Mountain Hot Springs has opened The Sauna Summit, adding five thermal features and three dedicated plunge pools to its Glenwood Springs, Colorado, attraction. The expansion is positioned as the property’s first public sauna and plunge pool experience, extending its geothermal mineral-pool offer into contrast therapy. It follows the property’s 10-year anniversary and gives Premier Access guests aged 21 and over another wellness-focused element to the visit.
The new area is built around moving between heat and cold, either independently or through guided circuits focused on goals including muscle recovery, cardiovascular health and nervous-system regulation. Iron Mountain Hot Springs says the experience is intended to support recovery, relaxation, sleep, skin health and stress reduction. Those claims are presented as benefits of contrast therapy and the individual thermal formats rather than as medical outcomes.
The Sauna Summit includes five sauna concepts: a Turkish hammam-inspired steam room, a Finnish barrel sauna, a South Korean hanjeungmak-inspired red-light clay sauna, a Russian banya-inspired aromatherapy sauna and a Polish salt-room-inspired salt sauna. The formats vary in architecture, temperature, aromatherapy and chromotherapy components. Guests can participate at their own pace or follow the attraction’s guided wellness circuits.
The addition gives Iron Mountain Hot Springs a broader role within Glenwood Springs’ established hot-springs landscape, combining bathing traditions with a more structured wellness programme. WorldSprings co-founder Rob Kramer said the expansion reflects a vision to create a major wellness attraction in the United States, while general manager Aaron McCallister described the sauna, cold-plunge and contrast-therapy elements as ways to extend the experience beyond soaking.
The Sauna Summit is now open and included with Premier Access, with access restricted to guests aged 21 and over. The project also forms part of Iron Mountain Hot Springs’ development within the WorldSprings portfolio, which includes locations in Dallas and La Verkin, Utah, alongside the Glenwood Springs site. For the attraction, the new offer links its longstanding mineral-water identity with a wider set of social and restorative experiences.
