SkyBridge Arizona has announced the groundbreaking of its first on-campus hotel at SkyBridge Mesa, extending the development’s role beyond aeronautical and industrial space. The release, issued by PeakAir Developments on April 14, 2026, said the hotel is intended to add a hospitality component to a campus that has already delivered more than 800,000 square feet of leased aeronautical and industrial space. The project is being developed at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport site in Arizona, with Alston Construction named as general contractor.
The hotel is part of a broader build-out that the release said could eventually include up to 2.2 million square feet of aeronautical space, 2 million square feet of industrial and non-aeronautical product, and 270,000 square feet of commercial development. Those figures position SkyBridge Mesa as a mixed-use project rather than a standalone accommodation scheme. The development sits in the East Valley sector of the Phoenix metropolitan area, which the release described as one of the region’s active economic corridors.
According to the announcement, the hotel will support professionals, executives and industry leaders working in the surrounding corridor. Ariel Picker, identified in the release as chief executive of SkyBridge Arizona, said the accommodation was intended to complete the ecosystem planned for the campus. The release also described SkyBridge Arizona as an aerospace and logistics hub integrating airside access with industrial infrastructure, with a stated focus on operational flow, long-term flexibility and cross-border readiness.
The addition broadens the range of uses associated with the project, which the release said has been designed to serve tenants across hangars, warehousing, offices and research facilities, alongside hospitality. It also said SkyBridge Arizona has sister developments in Sonora, Miami and Guanajuato, while the Mesa campus serves as its flagship property in the US market. In that context, the hotel represents an expansion of the campus’s stated operating model, though the release did not provide a brand, room count, opening date or development value.
For SkyBridge Arizona, the announcement links hospitality with the practical infrastructure of an aviation and commerce campus. The company said the project reflects a long-term vision for SkyBridge to function as a destination as well as a logistics address.
