The Inn at Good Harbor Beach has opened in Gloucester with 18 rooms, beach-focused amenities and a broader hospitality model centred on the Cape Ann coast.
Martignetti Hospitality Group has opened The Inn at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts, positioning the transformed seaside property as a boutique beachfront retreat for the summer season and beyond. The inn began welcoming guests on July 1, 2026, at 1 Salt Island Road, with reservations available through its website. Its opening reflects a hospitality proposition built around direct access to Good Harbor Beach, ocean views and services intended to make a coastal stay more self-contained.
Formerly known as Good Harbor Beach Inn, the property has been reworked for contemporary travellers while retaining its connection to Gloucester’s longstanding seaside identity. The release describes accommodations with views of the Atlantic, Salt Island and Bass Rocks, alongside private beachfront access and a guest experience shaped around what it calls classic New England summer living. The setting gives the inn a focused role in the Cape Ann travel economy: a place where lodging and time on the beach are designed as one experience.
The inn contains 18 guest rooms and suites in king, queen, double-queen and suite configurations. Many include private balconies, furnished decks, courtyard access or entertainment spaces, while the Salt Island Suite and Deck adds a chef’s kitchen, dining area, bunk room, in-suite washer and dryer, vaulted ceilings and a private 900-square-foot deck with a fire pit, outdoor dining and an exterior grill cookline. Opening-season amenities include beach towels, lounge chairs, cabanas, children’s toys and games, coolers delivered to guest cabanas, complimentary parking and assistance arranging local activities and reservations.
The operating model extends beyond rooms by treating the beach and surrounding area as part of the stay. Morning offerings include sunrise walks, continental breakfast and room-side breakfast baskets, while seasonal programming is planned for the beach, green and courtyard, including clambakes, barbecues and live music nights. The inn also lists bike rentals, food tours and itinerary assistance among its Cape Ann exploration services, linking the property’s on-site conveniences with access to the wider destination.
For Martignetti Hospitality Group, the opening adds a beachfront hotel to a portfolio that also includes Sogno restaurant and Sogno at Sea luxury yacht charter. The company’s stated approach is to honour the property’s history while offering a more refined and service-led coastal retreat, including quieter-season stays as well as summer visits. That combination leaves the inn defined less by a single attraction than by a coordinated version of the Cape Ann beach experience, with the property’s location doing much of the strategic work.
