Seabourn’s 54-voyage Ruby Collection frames its 40th anniversary through global itineraries, expedition access and experiences tied to local culture.
Seabourn has revealed The Ruby Collection, a series of 54 voyages scheduled for 2028 to mark the line’s 40th anniversary, or Ruby Jubilee. Spanning the company’s five-ship ocean and expedition fleet, the programme combines heritage-inspired sailings with newly designed itineraries, new ports and landmark long-distance voyages. All Ruby Collection voyages were reported as open for booking in the July 15, 2026 announcement, placing the anniversary offer within the forward planning cycle of luxury cruising.
The collection covers the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, Japan, Alaska, Northern Europe, the Arctic and Antarctica. Its Yachtsman sailings revisit smaller Caribbean and Mediterranean harbours, with Seabourn describing the itineraries as a return to the intimate ports associated with the line’s origins. The ocean programme also includes evening stays, selected overnight calls and experiences such as Marina Day, when a ship’s retractable marina opens to the sea for watersports.
Several voyages are built around specific destinations or cultural moments. Seabourn Encore’s Southeast Asia and Japan itineraries include overnights in Shanghai, Osaka and Kobe, alongside new calls at Taichung and Tainan in Taiwan and a sailing timed to the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival. In Alaska, new calls at Petersburg, Valdez and the Chiswell Islands accompany an eight-day pre-cruise Denali Experience, while expedition itineraries add maiden calls at Tvøroyri in the Faroe Islands and Cape Clear Island in Ireland.
The largest offerings give the anniversary programme a more expansive dimension. Seabourn Quest’s 120-day Cape to Cape World Cruise is scheduled to depart on January 7, 2028, travelling more than 26,000 nautical miles across 58 destinations in 23 countries and five continents. Seabourn Venture’s 96-day Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole is scheduled to depart on August 16, 2028, travelling from the High Arctic to Antarctica across more than 20,500 nautical miles; an 82-day option is scheduled for August 30, 2028.
The anniversary will also extend beyond route planning. The release reported a 12-day Seabourn Conversations sailing with The Atlantic, scheduled to depart on October 4, 2028, from Montréal to Boston, with programming curated around cultural voices and leading thinkers. Seabourn also reported that every sailing in 2028 will include special onboard enhancements, from themed entertainment and enrichment to signature celebrations. Taken together, the Ruby Collection presents the anniversary as a broad operating theme, linking the brand’s small-ship heritage with a programme that reaches from yacht harbours to polar regions.
