The new large-format printer combines higher resin capacity, remote monitoring and faster maintenance to address the operational demands of professional resin printing.
Phrozen has introduced the Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX, a 14-inch 16K MSLA resin 3D printer aimed at creators, studios, print service providers and other users taking on larger-format work. The machine combines a larger build capacity with features intended to support long prints, batch production and routine maintenance. Its positioning reflects a shift in resin printing from individual models towards larger parts, full build-plate batches and production-sensitive applications such as jewellery patterns and functional prototypes.
The printer is designed around the practical risks associated with extended resin jobs, including temperature changes, resin refills, maintenance downtime and limited visibility while a machine is operating. Phrozen says the Revo MAX addresses those issues through dual heating, a 2-litre resin vat, quick-release components, AI-enhanced camera monitoring and control through the Phrozen GO mobile app. The company presents those features as a way to make large-format printing more manageable without requiring users to remain beside the machine throughout a job.
The dual-fan chamber heating system can bring the chamber to 30°C, while an optional heated resin vat is designed to improve resin temperature stability when using high-viscosity engineering materials. The 2-litre vat can hold up to 2.5 standard 1-kilogram bottles of resin, reducing the need for mid-print refills during overnight work, larger models or full-plate batches. An angled all-metal build plate is intended to help resin drain after printing, while the release film can be changed without screws in about three minutes and the LCD is designed for quick replacement.
Monitoring is another central part of the system. A vertically mounted 1080p camera provides a view of large prints in progress, with UV-free amber lighting and AI colour correction intended to make footage easier to read. Through Phrozen GO, users can start, pause, resume and check jobs remotely, review time-lapse footage, receive alerts and manage multiple printers. The wider workflow also includes Phrozen’s Wash Mega S, Cure Mega S, Air Purifier Max and 3D Printer Enclosure Mega, alongside model sourcing through PIXUP and compatibility with CHITUBOX and Lychee Slicer.
The Sonic Mighty Revo 16K MAX is available in the United States for USD 1,600, with a limited Super Early Bird offer providing 20% off.
