The agreement broadens international access to China’s domestic lodging supply, giving travel sellers more hotel options, rates and booking flexibility through one platform.
Sabre Corporation has entered an agreement with Shanghai Fuxun Information Technology Co. Ltd. to add more than 100,000 domestic hotels across China to SabreMosaic Travel Marketplace. The expansion brings locally operated properties, domestic hotel chains and the Chinese operations of international brands into a global distribution platform. For Sabre, the deal extends the lodging inventory available to connected travel sellers while addressing the longstanding difficulty international agencies have faced in accessing China’s domestic hotel supply.
The new inventory includes more than 70 domestic Chinese hotel brands, described by Sabre as including some of the country’s largest groups by room count, alongside a substantial number of independent hotels. The company said these properties are valued by travellers but have historically been difficult for international agencies to reach. The agreement therefore links a more locally concentrated supply base with business travellers, overseas tour operators and other international travel buyers using Sabre-connected channels.
Travel sellers are expected to receive 100,000 additional property options, including local chains and independent hotels, as well as rates offering discounts of 15% to 25%, with many including breakfast. The content also adds prepaid booking options, which Sabre said will improve flexibility and traveller choice. Fuxun’s hotel supply will flow directly into SabreMosaic, where lodging content is combined with airline, car and rail options in a single marketplace.
Sabre said SabreMosaic currently unifies content from 2 million lodging options, a leading number of NDC airlines, more than 150 low-cost carriers, more than 420 EDIFACT carriers and more than 70 car and rail providers. The platform also connects agencies with lodging content from aggregators including Booking.com, Bedsonline, Nuitee and TOTV. Adding Fuxun broadens that aggregator network while allowing sellers to use SabreMosaic’s cloud-native, AI-driven retailing capabilities to match content with traveller needs.
Fuxun Travel co-founder and chief marketing officer John Chen said the partnership gives China-based properties access to international buyers that would otherwise be difficult to reach independently. Sabre’s APAC lodging, ground and sea chief, Deepshikha Sehgal, said agencies had identified domestic Chinese lodging content as a critical requirement, while Chinese hoteliers sought greater global visibility. The agreement positions Sabre’s travel technology around a narrower but significant distribution gap: connecting China’s domestic hotel market with international booking demand through an existing global infrastructure.
