A new campaign and redesigned digital platform position West Hollywood’s compact geography, culture and trip-planning tools as connected visitor propositions.
Visit West Hollywood is introducing Unmistakably West Hollywood, a destination campaign paired with a redesigned VisitWestHollywood.com, as it sharpens how the city presents itself to travellers. The work focuses on experiences within West Hollywood’s 1.9 square miles, linking the destination’s culinary, wellness, retail, entertainment and inclusivity credentials with practical planning resources. It arrives as Southern California prepares for a sequence of major international events, including the 2026 World Cup, 2027 Super Bowl and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The campaign is built around the idea that West Hollywood offers a particular combination of energy and intimacy, with hotels, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and cultural attractions concentrated in a walkable area. Visit West Hollywood describes the city as sitting at the heart of Los Angeles, at the base of the Hollywood Hills and next to Beverly Hills. Its four principal districts are the Sunset Strip, Santa Monica Boulevard, the Rainbow District and the Design District, each carrying a different role in the city’s visitor proposition.
The integrated marketing programme spans digital display, print, out-of-home billboards, social media, paid media, creative partnerships and connected television. Its message is supported by the new VisitWestHollywood.com, which includes artificial-intelligence-powered trip-planning tools from Mindtrip that can help users build itineraries around interests such as wellness, food or entertainment. The website also has an enhanced events backend designed to present a broader, continually refreshed calendar of city and countywide activities.
For destination organisations, the project illustrates how place marketing is moving beyond a promotional slogan towards a combined brand and service experience. The campaign supplies the emotional framing, while the website is intended to turn that framing into practical choices about where to stay and what to do. Visit West Hollywood’s chief marketing officer, Jeff Morris, presents the city’s appeal as the proximity of world-class dining, wellness, shopping and entertainment within a setting that retains a strong sense of character.
The timing gives the organisation a clear platform for engaging visitors before a period of heightened attention on Southern California. Rather than treating the forthcoming events as the entire proposition, Unmistakably West Hollywood uses them as a reason to improve discovery and trip planning around the city’s existing districts and experiences. Visit West Hollywood is therefore placing its next phase of tourism marketing on a blend of recognisable local identity, concentrated access and more responsive digital guidance.
